The Organization serves as a forum and platform for all facets of urban gospel music: contemporary gospel, holy hip hop, inspirational, gospel jazz, neo-soul, and reggae, and also supports the ministries of Christian comedians and spoken word artists.  UGA broadens gospel music's reach into the streets. It stands as a testament to youth in all communities, especially in the urban and inner-city areas, that there is an alternative to the negative music currently in the mainstream market place. Commissioned by God to serve the youth, Mrs. Edwards utilizes the skills and experience she gained while receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, with an emphasis in Marketing, from Eckerd College. In addition, she has earned Associate degrees in: Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Accounting, and imparts those Kingdom principles into the youth she encounters daily. Mrs. Edwards’ vision is to revolutionize the urban gospel industry and touch the lives of individuals globally, especially youth in every community. Her primary focus is to introduce and compel into the international marketplace: viable, relevant, Christ-centered, and positive entertainment, media, and leisure alternatives.

Mrs. Edwards has worked with various artists, businesses, entertainment companies, ministries, and other non-profit organizations to secure sponsorships, coordinate events/trips, and spearhead strategic planning. She also worked briefly as Vice President of Marketing for Upper Rooms Records based in Houston, Texas. However, her rise to leadership was only achieved through her willingness to first serve. She has walked in this understanding over the years by co-laboring with youth ministries such as: Living Word Community Church and Awanas of Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, and Pinellas Community 0/9oChurch. For 2 years, Mrs. Edwards served as a Greater St. Petersburg Area Leader, WyldLife Leader, and Urban YoungLife Leader.  Most recently, her servitude was displayed in the New Birth Cathedral - Youth Ministry, where she acted as Special Events Coordinator.

With a powerhouse such as Mrs. Edwards at the forefront of a maverick organization, entertainment, and the world at large, will never be the same.
